Tubbataha Protected Area Management Board acknowledges with extreme gratitude the following private sector institutions for their financial contributions to the conservation of the Park in 2009.
Concepcion Durables Inc., organized the Condura Race for Tubbataha in 2008 to raise funds and awareness that will help in the preservation of the reefs. Funds received from Concepcion Durables, Inc. went to the purchase of communications equipment for the ranger station in the Tubbataha Reefs.
Global Mala Project organized a fundraiser in September 19, 2009 to raise funds for the Park and another NGO. The event happened simultaneously in cities including Los Angeles, New York, London, San Francisco, Tokyo, etc. It is the largest unified worldwide yoga event, dedicated to positive change, in the history of the planet. The grant from the Project was utilized to conduct information and awareness activities in schools and fishing villages.
Jaeger LeCoultre, a Swiss luxury watch maker, auctioned off (on-line) the first of their new diving watch models to support management of three marine World Heritage Sites in partnership with the International Herald Tribune and the UNESCO World Heritage Centre. The proceeds from the auction funded the purchase of a radar system for the Tubbataha.
Petron, the Philippine’s leading oil company provided funds for the installation of the embedment mooring system to prevent coral damage caused by the Park’s outmoded mooring system.
